Myrrhophores

also known as Myrrh Bearers, Scent Priestesses or Mistresses of the Oils, were priestesses skilled in the arts of initiation, baptism, midwifery, tantric healing, sex magick, alchemical herbalism, resurrection rituals and funerary rites as death doulas.

Through the use of ancient anointing practices, they mastered the ability of realigning the body with its true essence by healing the wounds of the soul. They entered trancelike states through the use of rituals, invocations, song, shamanic journeying and energetic healing practices both leaving and entering this world as gatekeepers of the mysteries.

In Ritual + Ceremony + Divination

We will deepen into the traditions, lineages and mysteries of the Myrrhophores during a seven week devotional in the liminal realms beginning on Mary Magdalenes Feast day July 22nd.
